In August 2002, Los Angeles City Council President Eric Garcetti designated the community just northwest of the Los Angeles Civic Center as Historic Filipinotown.  This is an area punctuated by main thoroughfares to the heart of the downtown business and financial districts and to  historic and cultural sites in the central city.  Historic Filipinotown is enriched by its own historical markers, a mix of cultures, including:   Filipino, Mexican, Central and South American, Asian and even a touch of Cuba.

Our many ethnic restaurants provide a variety of foods and flavors from around the world.  Local clinics, medical offices, churches, adult healthcare facilities, and hospitals insure high standards of services.
